Robert Cain vs. Vons, Inc., Permissibly Self-insured
Robert Cain, Applicant, was injured while working for Vons, Inc., a permissibly self-insured company, and received shoulder surgery at SB Surgery Center. The Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board granted SB Surgery Center’s petition for reconsideration of the July 10, 2006 Findings and Order of the workers’ compensation administrative law judge wherein its lien claim for $17,905.23 was denied. The Board rescinded the July 10, 2006 Findings and Order and returned the case to the trial level for further proceedings and decision in accordance with Kunz v. Patterson Floor Coverings, Inc. (2002) 67 CaI.Comp.Cases 1588.
