In this case, Liberty Glass Fabricators, Inc. and American Home Assurance Company sought reconsideration of the Findings and Award of June 19, 2009, wherein the workers’ compensation judge found that Juan Lopez had sustained a compensable industrial injury to his back on October 1, 2007, while employed as a laborer by Liberty Glass Fabricators. The Appeals Board granted reconsideration and reversed the June 19, 2009 Findings and Award, concluding that Lopez’s claim was a non-compensable, post-termination claim pursuant to Labor Code section 3600(a)(10).
