ADJ2514169 (VNO 0556845)ADJ255943 (VNO 0556846)(Pomona District Office)OPINION AND ORDERDISMISSING PETITION FORREMOVAL            Applicant has filed a timely, verified Petition for Removal, requesting that the Appeals Board amend the Order dated April 22, 2014, wherein the workers’ compensation administrative law judge (WCJ) ordered this matter continued to trial on June 5, 2014, and ordered discovery closed. Applicant contends that he had requested but not yet received a panel of qualified medical evaluators (QMEs) in internal medicine. Applicant requests that discovery be held open as to issues of internal medicine, that the case be continued to allow him to obtain the QME evaluation, or that the issue of internal medicine be deferred at trial. Defendant has filed an Answer.            At trial on June 5, 2014, the parties submitted Stipulations with Request for Award in ADJ2514169 and a Compromise and Release in ADJ255943, also settling disputed issues in ADJ2514169. The WCJ approved both settlements. Therefore, applicant’s petition is now moot, and we dismiss it.            For the foregoing reasons,/ / // / // / // / / ,             IT IS ORDERED that applicant’s Petition for Removal is DISMISSED as moot.WORKERS’ COMPENSATION APPEALS BOARD    _____________________________________________MARGUERITE SWEENEY        I CONCUR,        _____________________________________________RONNIE G.
