Robert Phillips, vs. Hitchcock Automotive; Cambridge Integrated Services Group, Inc., State Compensation Insurance Fund; Sunrise Ford, State Compensation Insurance Fund; Board Ford, Inc., American Alternative Insurance C/o Risk Enterprise Management; Redlands Ford, Ace Property And Casualty Co., Administered By Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc.,

In this case, Robert Phillips was seeking compensation for a single continuous trauma injury between October 10, 2001 and October 10, 2002. After an arbitration proceeding, the Arbitrator found that Phillips was entitled to vocational rehabilitation, medical treatment, and temporary disability indemnity due to the injury. The Arbitrator also found that the basis for contribution on the continuous trauma claim should be done based on the days worked at Sunrise Ford and Redlands Ford, converted to a percentage to be applied to the benefits paid by Ace Property. The Workers' Compensation Appeals Board affirmed the Findings and Award of the Arbitrator, except that they amended the Finding to clarify that it applied to medical treatment as well as temporary disability indemnity, and added an Award of contribution.
