ADJ1539589 (STK 0127013), ADJ3114209 (STK 0127015)OPINION AND DECISION AFTER RECONSIDERATION On our own motion, we earlier granted reconsideration of the September 26, 2011 Order Approving Compromise And Release of the workers’ compensation administrative law judge (WCJ), wherein the WCJ approved the proposed compromise and release agreement submitted by the parties to settle applicant’s claims of industrial injury to his low back and ribs while working for defendant as a laborer on June 13, 1996 (ADJ1539589) and on August 2, 1996 (ADJ3114209), for the lump sum of $125,000. In a letter dated February 7, 2012, and filed in pro per with the Appeals Board, applicant contends that medical treatment of his injury should be covered by defendant, that the amount of the compromise and release is inadequate, and that he was compelled by the WCJ to accept the settlement. An answer was not received. The WCJ provided a Report and Recommendation on Petition for Reconsideration (Report) recommending that applicant’s petition either be dismissed as untimely or denied for lack of merit. We have carefully reviewed the record and considered the allegations of applicant’s February 7, 2012 letter and the WCJ’s Report and Recommendation on Petition for Reconsideration (Report) with respect thereto.
