ADJ3668486 (SBA 0081243)ADJ2866077 (SBA 0073112)ADJ3676183 (SBA 0082815)ADJ3511801 (GOL 0090292)ADJ2318677 (GOL 0095094)ADJ658495 (SBR 0193676)OPINION AND ORDER GRANTING RECONSIDERATION AND DECISION AFTER RECONSIDERATION Defendant ACE/ESIS seeks reconsideration of a workers’ compensation administrative law judge’s (“WCJ”) Finding of Fact of April 23, 2009, wherein the WCJ found that “CIGA is not responsible for payment of any portion of the lien of Blue Cross.” In these matters, by way of a Compromise & Release entered among the applicant, defendant ESIS, and defendant California Insurance Guarantee Association (“CIGA”), and approved by the WCJ on October 24, 2005, in exchange for $55,000, applicant settled her claims that while employed by Palm Springs Unified School District as a teacher on December 10, 1990 (SBR0193676), February 12, 1993 (SBA 0073112), February 11, 1996 (SBA 0081243), October 1, 1997 (SBA 0082815), November 29, 2000 (GOL 0090292), and October 2, 2002 (GOL 0095094), she sustained industrial injury to her left knee, low back, left foot, spine, spinal cord, left lower extremity, right hip, chest, ribs, breast bone, internal organs, pelvis, pelvic organs, tailbone, coccyx, buttocks, neck, upper extremities, left ankle, in the form of reflex sympathetic dystrophy, and “all other body parts as set forth in the medical reports of record.” According to ACE/ESIS’s verified petition for reconsideration, Fremont Compensation Insurance provided workers’ compensation coverage to Palm Springs Unified School District until , June 30, 2000, whereupon coverage was provided by ACE/ESIS.
