ADJ4681016 (LBO 0384587)ADJ2340608 (LBO 0384588)OPINION AND ORDER GRANTING RECONSIDERATION AND DECISION AFTER RECONSIDERATION Defendant seeks reconsideration of the Findings and Award issued by the workers’ compensation administrative law judge (WCJ) on April 24, 2009, wherein the WCJ found that applicant, while employed as a financial services coordinator on April 9, 2003 through September 21, 2006 (LBO 0384587),1 sustained industrial injury to his bilateral wrists, causing 19% permanent disability, and a need for further medical treatment. The WCJ also found applicant was entitled to temporary total disability from September 26, 2006 through March 19, 2008. Defendant contends that the WCJ erred in finding permanent disability, arguing that the medical opinions of applicant’s treating physicians, George A. Macer, M.D., and Israel Rottermann, M.D., on which the WCJ relied, do not constitute substantial evidence to support permanent disability. Defendant argues that Dr. Rottermann uses the wrong tables from the AMA Guides and incorrectly extends the period of temporary disability due to his request for repeat testing for carpal tunnel syndrome.
