Craig Stevens vs. Pacific Bell Telephone Company, Permissibly Self-insured
. In this case, Craig Stevens, the applicant, settled five workers' compensation claims against Pacific Bell Telephone Company by way of compromise and release. After attorneys' fees, he received the sum of $100,000. The compromise and release included settlement of case numbers ADJ488924, and ADJ2035939. Craig Stevens then filed a new claim against Pacific Bell's successor in interest, AT&T, alleging cumulative injuries during the period August 4, 1995 through October 17, 2002 to the neck, back, and both shoulders.
