Tie Zhang, vs. Amgen, Inc., Permissibly Self-insured, Adjusted By York Risk Services Group, inc.,
In this case, Amgen, Inc., permissibly self-insured, adjusted by York Risk Services Group, Inc., denied liability for an industrial cumulative trauma injury sustained by Tie Zhang, an employee of Amgen, Inc. Optimal Health Institute, a lien claimant, sought reconsideration of the Findings and Order issued by a workers’ compensation administrative law judge (WCJ) which ordered that lien claimant take nothing on its lien for medical treatment. The WCAB denied the petition for reconsideration, affirming the WCJ’s order and finding that lien claimant had failed to present evidence to prove that the medical treatment it provided was reasonable and necessary to treat applicant’s industrial injury.
